Please read these Terms carefully before using Sixth Hive. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Sixth Hive ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the Sixth Hive platform, website, mobile applications, and all associated services (collectively, "Services").
By creating an account, clicking "I agree", or otherwise accessing the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Copyright Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of material changes at least 14 days in advance by email or in-app notice.
To use Sixth Hive, you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. The platform is designed for professionals — founders, investors, operators, recruiters, and companies. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
If you are using the Services on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms. You may not use the Services if you are located in a jurisdiction where such use is prohibited by law.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:
Sixth Hive uses JWT-based authentication with short-lived tokens and secure HTTP-only cookies. We implement multi-layer security controls, but no system is perfectly secure. We are not liable for losses arising from unauthorized access resulting from your failure to maintain credential security.
We reserve the right to disable your account at any time if, in our reasonable opinion, you have violated any provision of these Terms or if your account poses a security risk to the platform or other users.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time with reasonable notice where possible. Feature availability may vary by subscription tier.
Sixth Hive uses artificial intelligence extensively to power the platform. Our primary AI system is Maya, your personal AI relationship copilot. Maya and other AI features include:
Important limitations: AI-generated content and suggestions may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your specific situation. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving any AI-generated content before use. Do not rely on AI suggestions for legal, financial, medical, or safety-critical decisions.
AI features are powered by a hybrid routing system using Anthropic Claude models (claude-opus-4-7, claude-sonnet-4-6, claude-haiku-4-5) and self-hosted open-source models (Llama-3 via vLLM) depending on your subscription tier and task type. Routing decisions are made automatically to balance quality, cost, and latency.
We implement prompt caching and do not use your personal data to train third-party AI models without your explicit consent. See our Privacy Policy §4 for full details on AI data processing.
AI usage is subject to fair-use quotas by subscription tier. Quota limits reset monthly. Exceeding your quota will restrict AI features until reset or upgrade. We reserve the right to adjust quota limits with 30 days' notice.

Talent AI candidates are matched using embedding-based similarity via pgvector. Match scores are probabilistic estimates, not guarantees of fit. You remain solely responsible for all hiring decisions.
The Sixth Hive Feed allows you to share professional updates, insights, and signals with your network. By posting content on the platform, you:
We may remove content that violates these Terms, our community standards, or applicable law, without prior notice. You retain full ownership of your original content. Deleting your account removes your content from public view within 30 days.
The Feed includes AI-curated signals from your network. AI curation is based on your stated goals, connection strength, and engagement history. You can adjust feed preferences in your account settings.
Messaging: Sixth Hive provides real-time direct and group messaging via Centrifugo WebSocket infrastructure. Messages are end-to-end encrypted in transit. We may access message content solely to: (a) provide the service, (b) detect spam or abuse, (c) comply with legal obligations.
Hives: Hives are topic-focused professional communities. Each Hive has a designated owner and optional moderators who are responsible for setting and enforcing community rules consistent with our platform policies. Hive owners may:
You agree not to use messaging or Hive features to send unsolicited bulk messages, harass other members, or share content that violates these Terms. Repeated violations may result in messaging restrictions or account suspension.
The Opportunities section surfaces investment deals, partnership opportunities, fractional roles, and collaboration requests relevant to your profile and goals. Opportunity listings are:
Sixth Hive does not verify, endorse, or guarantee any opportunity listed on the platform. We are not party to any transaction or relationship formed through the Opportunities feature. You are solely responsible for conducting your own due diligence before pursuing any opportunity.
Opportunity posters are responsible for the accuracy of their listings. Fraudulent or misleading opportunity listings are a violation of these Terms and will result in immediate removal and potential account action.
You agree not to use Sixth Hive to:
Violations may result in content removal, feature restrictions, account suspension, or termination, at our sole discretion, without prior notice for serious violations.
The Sixth Hive platform — including its design, software, AI models, algorithms, trademarks, brand assets, and original content — is owned by the Company and protected by applicable intellectual property laws including copyright, trademark, patent, and trade secret law. You retain ownership of the content you post on Sixth Hive (your profile, posts, messages, role briefs, and other user-generated content). By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, and distribute that content as necessary to operate, improve, and promote the Services.
This license ends when you delete your content or account, subject to reasonable retention periods for legal compliance and cached/backup copies.
Sixth Hive offers multiple subscription tiers: Free, Pro, and Founding Member. Talent AI is available as an additional paid subscription. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis via Stripe.
All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law (including UK consumer protection rights for digital services) or as expressly stated in these Terms. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes take effect at your next billing cycle.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then. Downgrading may result in loss of access to features restricted to higher tiers.
Payments are processed exclusively by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your card number or full payment details. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the applicable fees on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Failed payments will result in a grace period of 7 days, after which access to paid features will be restricted until payment is resolved.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that: (a) the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure; (b) AI-generated content, opportunity scores, or match recommendations will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your purposes; (c) any defects will be corrected; (d) the platform is free of harmful components.
AI features are probabilistic tools designed to assist professional judgment. They are not a substitute for professional advice in legal, financial, medical, or safety-critical contexts.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SIXTH HIVE, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES OR ANY AI-GENERATED CONTENT OR RECOMMENDATIONS.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) £100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deletion removes your profile and content from public view within 30 days, subject to data retention requirements for billing records and legal compliance.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any material breach of these Terms, including but not limited to: fraud, abuse of AI systems, violation of acceptable use policies, or non-payment.
Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease. Sections on intellectual property, disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, governing law, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive termination, will survive.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of habitual residence. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights under applicable EU or UK law.
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect, and the invalid provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
